Debenhams continues its designer credentials for Autumn Winter 16, with a portfolio of iconic designers offering premium design and affordable fashion to the high street. Debenhams Debut and Red Herring brands sit alongside designer names and continue to deliver key seasonal trends and elegant occasionwear.

Star by Julien Macdonald introduces a decidedly dark romantic collection for glamorous women this Autumn Winter season. Sensuous ruffles, animal prints and dark florals combine with subtle metallics in luxe leather, sequins, lace and velvet fabrications. Key items include the ruffle blouse, the cape coat and metallic leather skirt.

Gothenburg city chic inspires this AW16 story for Principles by Ben de Lisi. Effortless silhouettes in rich palettes of mulberry, copper and navy tones are modernized in compact and fluid fabrications. Bold prints are blocked and ‘deco’ inspired, softened by midi lengths and fluted sleeves. Detail is key to this trend, with accents of top-stitching, pleating and statement sleeves, creating sophisticated, stylish, contemporary fashion.

Inspired by architecture and art, J by Jasper Conran provides a contemporary relaxed luxury range with clean stylish separates and statement outerwear. Print is paramount where geometric art forms inspire the print direction of abstract circles and checks. Paired together with an autumnal palette of raspberry, ink and grey, a fresh crisp look for Autumn Winter is created. Key pieces include the belted wool trench coat, geometric shirt dress and large pocket box jacket.

The Autumn Winter RJR. John Rocha collection explores modern romance in a rich winter palette of dark cherry, olive, neutral tones of grey and black with highlights of ivory and nude. Design signatures of embellishment, fluidity and texture fit effortlessly with timeless investment pieces ideal for layering. Key pieces include the shearling jacket, the moonlight print and stunning embroidered bomber styled back with tactile velvets and lace.

Vintage florals and frills give a modern bohemian feel to the new season Nine by Savannah Miller collection where the floral midi dress is a must have. The signature star and swallow prints are given a modern camouflage edge for the Utility trend which has a chic Scandi/Parisian contemporary twist. Key pieces include embroidered denim and khaki leopard jumpsuit.

This season H! by Henry Holland offers cool girls the “Geek Chic” look that stormed the Autumn Winter catwalks. Macro checks and ginghams mix with embroidered slogan denim and animal prints. Whilst pretty conversational prints fuse with casual sportswear, for a girly yet street look. Must-have items include the slogan spot blouse, the check pinafore dress and the silk bomber.

Channelling key catwalk trends, Red Herring fuses gothic romance and Scandi folk. The collection oozes dark romance in winter florals gothic lace and velvet separates. Pretty folk smock and maxi floral dresses are given added edge when styled back with chunky cold shoulder knits and the must-have long-line parkers. Shots of pink velvet and sequins add a touch of oriental, whilst outerwear is given a military twist.

New for AW16, Siren by Giles delivers chic day to night dressing in a statement monochromatic palette. Overflowing with contemporary separates the collection is designed to be mixed and matched. Highlights of the collection include the Victoriana blouse, tailored cigarette trousers and soft crepe tie neck jacket. Whilst the couture inspired bow top and stunning swan print skirt add a dramatic edge for occasionwear dressing.

Modern silhouettes, lavish embroidery, decadent beading and flirty feathers create a playful occasionwear collection reflecting Matthew Williamson’s signature design. Whilst for a taste of the Orient; a major trend this season, Butterfly by Matthew Williamson delivers the stunning embroidered midi dress; a must have for all party girls.

No.1 Jenny Packham once again provides an elegant yet contemporary occasionwear collection with the addition of stunning separates to the range. With a nod to 1930s showgirls, the collection oozes Hollywood glamour in a sophisticated palette of copper metallics, classic black, dusted pinks and plum. Combined with decadent beading and timeless form fitting silhouettes; a beautiful collection is created.

Inspired by enchanted gardens, Debut introduces standout occasionwear for Autumn Winter. New embroidered scuba fabrications, landscape prints, contemporary pleats and sultry lace slip dresses are key elements of the collection. Whilst soft pastel tones glisten with premium 3D sequin appliqué detail adorned on dresses and separates; which continue to be a key feature for occasionwear dressing.

Preen/Edition returns this season taking direct inspiration from the Designers’ Autumn Winter catwalk show. Soft ruffles, bold geometric prints, gingham and gorgeous galactic florals adorn key shapes. Premium leather, crispier cottons and drapey velvets add texture and edge for this statement collection.

The Todd Lynn/Edition collection takes you to the dark side this season where dark and sensual colours and fabrications are explored. Inspired by Rock Star daughters leather is key and seen on the ultimate leather wrap dress and essential bird motif bomber. Leather and mesh fuse for a maxi skirt, whilst leather trousers juxtapose with the slogan sweat. Snake prints adorn knits and soft chiffons for a feminine edge.
