Born in Canada, London designer Todd Lynn is the Central Saint Martins MA alumni
who has dressed everyone from Beyonce to Courtney Love, and acted as bespoke
tailor for Bono, Mick Jagger, PJ Harvey and Marilyn Manson to create hard-edged,
performance looks that reflect their iconic status.
It’s since 2006, however, that British fashion award nominated Todd Lynn has
presented ready-to-wear for men and women that doesn’t require appointment,
available in a selection of the finest stores across continents. The elegantly-waisted
girls and guys that stomp down Lynn’s catwalk have cemented the designer as a
talent beloved to both fashionistas and live-fast rockers alike, seen in magazines
from Dazed & Confused to i-D and Vogue.
Creating his own sartorial language has been crucial to Lynn, it’s the foundation of
his modern take on gender. The clothes are fearless, yet the Todd Lynn woman has
room for an inner femininity to radiate. And above the drama of progressive cutting,
the Todd Lynn man is not compromised of his masculinity either. It’s glorious,
futuristic and hedonistic, a world that rests on persona. Exactly why his clothes are
loved by such strong characters.
